DTF print sizes for shirts, hoodies and caps
How wide to make each design, from the size guides of printers we list. Set the width of each design in the builder, and we work out how long your sheet needs to be.
Common widths
Each range runs from the narrowest to the widest figure the printers give. Printers mostly give a width; the height follows the shape of your design.

The largest design a shirt takes
Transfer Superstars puts the print area of most adult shirts at about 30 × 41 cm (12 × 16 in), and of youth shirts at about 23 × 30 cm (9 × 12 in). A design bigger than that runs into the seams. Their guide (opens in a new tab)
Garments differ between brands and sizes, so measure the one you are printing on before you set a width.

Setting the width in the builder
Add a design and type its width. We keep its proportions, warn you if the resolution drops below 250 DPI at that size, and pack it with your other designs. Read about file requirements
