How Layout Foundry handles planner data
Planner inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to Layout Foundry. You can use every planner without creating an account.
Measurements stay in your browser
Measurements and part lists remain in browser memory while you work. Layout Foundry does not receive or store the measurements entered into a planner.
Saved plans stay on the current device
A plan is stored in local browser storage only when you choose to save it. It remains on that device until you delete it or clear the site data, and it is not uploaded or synced to another browser.
The site does not use tracking scripts
Layout Foundry does not use analytics scripts, advertising trackers, cookies, contact forms or sales profiles. The public pages include no third-party client code.
Hosting requests are separate from planner inputs
Vercel and its network providers receive the ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the public site, such as an IP address and request details. Layout Foundry relies on its legitimate interests in making this non-commercial service available and keeping it secure. The application does not add planner measurements or saved-plan contents to those requests, and Layout Foundry does not keep its own request logs.
Vercel describes its service-generated data and international-transfer safeguards in its privacy notice. Where they apply to the account plan and data involved, Vercel's published data-processing terms also describe subprocessors and UK transfer mechanisms. Provider retention is governed by the applicable Vercel service settings and terms.
Your information rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to personal information, correction, deletion or restriction, or object to its use. Use the contact details in the “Who is responsible and how to contact Layout Foundry” section below, with enough information to identify the request. Layout Foundry cannot retrieve planner inputs or saved plans because it never receives them.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
One-time email checklist
After a planner result, you may ask Layout Foundry to send one buying and cutting checklist. The request sends only the email address and the planner page it came from. Measurements, part lists and saved plans stay on the device.
Layout Foundry relies on your consent for this optional service. Requesting the confirmation link and then confirming it are separate positive actions. You can stop the request through the link in either email. The emails are service messages only and contain no marketing or tracking.
The temporary record contains the address, the planner route, request and confirmation times, expiry and the copy, privacy and template versions. An unconfirmed request expires after 24 hours. After the checklist is accepted for sending, Layout Foundry deletes the address and raw tokens and keeps only keyed fingerprints and minimal delivery evidence for 7 days. A keyed fingerprint for a stop, hard bounce, complaint or provider suppression is retained only to prevent another message to that address and is reviewed every 24 months.
Resend processes the address and message to deliver both emails and retains sent-email data for 30 days. Its published data-processing addendum and subprocessor list describe its US processing and UK transfer safeguards. Upstash stores the temporary request and keyed evidence under automatic expiry in its serverless Redis service; its published data-processing addendum describes that processing.

If these data practices change, this notice will be updated to describe them.
