How we work out these figures

We price the same job at every printer: one metre of designs across the full film width, including any minimum order. We divide that price by the film width, so a 300 mm printer and a 600 mm printer compare fairly per square metre.

UK figures include VAT where the printer charges it. US figures are before sales tax. Delivery is left out because printers charge it per order, not per metre.

The median is the middle price: half the printers charge less and half charge more. The middle half of printers falls between the lower and upper quartile. We count only prices we checked in the last 45 days.
